Soloist With Orchestra
Silvia Careddu’s contributions to the orchestral world highlight her exceptional skill, dedication, and artistry. Silvia has collaborated with such distinguished names as, Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Marisa Jansons, Andris Nelsons, Christian Thielemann, Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Bernard Haitink, Cristian Măcelaru, Antonello Manacorda, as well as other distinguished personalities from the highest echelons of classical music. As a principal flutist, Silvia has supported the musicality and leadership of every orchestra she has joined. Her journey began with an invitation from Lorin Maazel to become the Principal Flutist of his newly founded Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini. From there, Silvia went on to hold principal positions with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Wiener Symphoniker, and the Wiener Philharmoniker – Wiener Staatsoper, where her contributions were instrumental in shaping the orchestras’ distinctive sounds.
Chamber Music
Silvia Careddu’s passion for chamber music has led to numerous collaborations with esteemed ensembles and musicians such as Beatrice Rana, Emmanuel Pahud, Eric Lesage, Paul Meyer, Cristian Măcelaru, François Leleux, Pascal Moragues, Miguel Da Silva, Mihaela Martin, Franz Helmersson, Christoph Coin, Roberto Prosseda, Lise Berthaud & Sophie Dervaux, and many others. These partnerships have allowed her to explore a diverse repertoire and connect with audiences in more intimate settings, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the art of chamber music.
